Journey-Centered Psychotherapy

"You have the power over your health and well-being. You are in control of your cells and your genes.Your thoughts and environment can heal you from the inside out."  - Bruce Lipton

Therapy that honors your unique journey

To initiate the deep transformations we desire in life, we sometimes first need to give voice to our experiences, safely traverse the emotional waters that run beneath, reaffirm our intuition and Higher Guidance and, to quote Carolyn Myss, shift our "woe stories" into "wisdom stories".

I see women interested in exploring the portals of:
  • Conscious pregnancy and preparing to become a mother
  • Adjustment to motherhood
  • Miscarriage and pregnancy loss
  • Mother-daughter relationship and healing the Mother Wound
  • Mother loss, motherless daughters, motherless mothers (death, emotional/physical abandonment, estrangement)
  • Codependency
  • Burnout
  • Life transitions
  • Self-esteem and empowerment
  • Self-compassion and love
  • Creativity, intuition and spiritual connection
Through a holistic integration of talk therapy, light trance work and expressive writing, we illuminate how the Motherline flows within you and create an "inner temple" that will ultimately be your crucible for deep healing and expansion.

The Healing Journey

My journey with you aims to recover the gifts of your Motherline and lay to rest the bones of weary stories and patterns that no longer serve.

Through a holistic integration of talk therapy, light trance work and expressive arts, we illuminate how the Motherline flows within you and create an "inner temple" that will ultimately be your crucible for deep healing and expansion.

As each healing journey is unique, I cannot predict or guarantee exact outcomes. However, in addition to your intentions for our work together, I hold space to:
  • Create a resourced inner temple for healing
  • Connect to your intuition and Higher Guidance
  • Step into compassionate self-responsibility for your healing
  • Recognize yourself as someone deserving of your own love
  • Expand your vision of who you are and what is possible
  • Unfold your Motherline journey with curiosity so you can arrive at your own wise guidance and more comfortably sit in the mystery of not knowing

What to expect

During our initial sessions, we'll discuss what you would like to focus the work on. I'll take a basic history and orient you to the therapy process.

Subsequent sessions may include:
  • Talk therapy based in multiple theories (object-relations, attachment theory, depth, archetypal, transpersonal, psychosynthesis, existential-humanistic)
  • Light trance states (shamanic journeying, hypnotherapy, lightly guided visualization)
  • Dreamwork
  • Expressive arts
  • Inner Child and Inner Mother/self-parenting work
  • Mindfulness and compassion practices
  • Energy practices (Emotional Freedom Technique, chakra visualization, ritual)
  • Therapeutic coaching

How often and where do we meet?

I usually meet with clients once a week at my office in San Anselmo (Marin County, SF Bay Area). I am also available for tele-therapy sessions.

Standard sessions are 50 minutes. It's often the case that journeying and hypnotherapy run a bit longer, so I generally reserve 75-minutes for these sessions.

You can view the financial exchange structure here.

Does therapy work?

It often does provided your therapist is a good fit for you (not everyone will be) and you are committed to your own personal growth and healing. You get what you put in.
